What's New for February...Luv&Happenings....

Ah-ha!

Better late than never....as usual, February, has practically passed us by in a heartbeat..... ( yes, there is a love theme going on here....) in less than 10 days we will see March march right in....."time marches on never ending...time keeps it's own time......"

The first week of the second month of the two-thousand-and ninth year saw me playing and hosting at Twenty-One for Fash-Fab and Lushouse, recording an r&b song with Joey G. of Capital FM ( to be posted soon ) and playing @ Cloth n' Clef for Ladies First, an all-female hip-hop showcase; which brought out fellow Canadians M'Sia 1 and Vandal....and got me digging in the old school hip-hop crates...some personal favorites I played included....

Wednesday, Feb. the 25th is "Ladies Night" at the more than swank, visually and aurally impressive "Sultan Lounge" in the Mandarin Oriental @ KLCC. This place is one of the most beautiful and exotic spots I've ever seen, and from the entrance you are greeted as V.I.P, taken 3 floors down the elevator into the underground, into the genie bottle as I see it, and from there seated in plush seats with exquisite lighting and a smooth and professional staff...and the music programming, spear-headed by Shazan, is world-class house music quality...!

Myself and Donovan da Funky Junky will be playing together, sexy house music at it's finest

.. sweet, sultry, vocal sounds.....and for ladies, free flow cocktails, lollies and roses......ooh-la-la!! 

Now my delight, to introduce "Disco Paradis" held at FrangiPani on the 28th of Feb....

The last day of the month brings myself & Nuthiya ( Fusion Discoteka ), and incredibly talented producer&DJ&record head, the venerable Ray Soo of Luv-International..This night is going to be reminiscent of the early days of house and disco, when Larry Levan ruled the Paradise Garage and music was all about love, freedom, and fun.....with disco, rarities, deep&funky&soulful sounds, space-disco..this is the beginning of a beautiful thing people....

As for March, I will be playing alongside a myriad of DJ's and performers at Zouk Club for International Women's Day..as well as the monthly Fash Fab installment first Thursday of March....More detailed info to follow soon...stay CHOONED!!! :-)
